Philippe Naert
Prof. Philippe Naert is currently acting Dean of the UAMS (University of Antwerp Management School). Dean of TiasNimbas Business School.He holds an M.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Leuven, Belgium, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Science from the University of Manchester, England, and a PhD in Business Administration from Cornell University, USA. He was awarded the Sir Murdoch McDonald Prize for academic excellence, University of Manchester (1967), the John D.C. Little Award for best marketing science paper (1989), a Doctor Honoris Causa, Helsinki School of Economics, Finland (1991), Teacher of the year, Nyenrode University International MBA (1992); Outstanding Teacher Award, Rochester-Bern Executive MBA (1998 and 1999).
He was professor or visiting professor at: Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA); Université Catholique de Louvain (B); UFSIA-Universiteit Antwerpen (B); European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (EIASM), Brussels; Université de Lille (F); University of South Carolina (USA); St. Louis University, Baguio (The Philippines); University of Texas (USA); INSEAD (F); University of California at Los Angeles, UCLA (USA); Université de Paris X, Nanterre (F); Nyenrode University (NL); University of Rochester - University of Bern (Switzerland); Tilburg University (NL).
He was director of The Intercollegiate Center for Management Science (ICM) and of the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management (B), was dean of INSEAD (F), Nyenrode University (NL), TiasNimbas Business School (NL) and was academic director of Instituto Universitario Euroforum Escorial (E).
Prof. Naert wrote a number of books, among which, Building Models for Marketing Decisions (with P. Leeflang, R. Wittink and M. Wedel) (1999), Globalization: Blessing or Curse (2000) (in Dutch) and a large number of articles in academic and professional journals. His research interests cover the fields of strategy, marketing and globalisation.
